THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client has initiated the search for a Director of Sales, Canada & Trade Marketing in fully realizing their potential in the marketplace.

The Director of Sales will be pivotal in shaping the future of the sales strategy and expanding market presence. As a key brand builder in the organization, the Director will develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive top-line growth and enhance profitability, including overseeing day-to-day sales operations, managing key accounts, and pioneering white space opportunities for all of Sodalis’ brands.

KEY DELIVERABLES
In assuming this leadership position the new Director of Sales, Canada & Trade Marketing will need to:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the sales function in the Canadian market, ensuring strong top-line growth without compromising profit margins.
- Directly manage all accounts and trade, develop promotional plans, and execute them effectively. Management of trade funds and T&E expenses within assigned budgets.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, risk assessments, and required reports and presentations, according to timelines.
- Work collaboratively with the SVP, Sales to identify opportunity gaps and prepare for line review presentations.
- Develop and gain a foothold in white space Canadian channels, including Convenience, Canadian Tire, and Club (COSTCO).
- Track and resolve customer service issues in coordination with appropriate parties
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in sales and sales management of consumer products within food or drug channels.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian market, including go-to-market strategies.
- Knowledge of hair care and skincare categories is a strong plus.
- Proven history of driving growth, improving profitability, and enhancing shelf positioning. u Proven record of successfully introducing new brands in the Canadian market.
- Passion for developing and executing sales plans that increase sales, grow profit, and minimize expenses.
- High degree of professionalism, energy, time management skills, and creative thinking.
- Ability to thrive in a resource-thin environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Commerce; or equivalent work experience
- Master's Degree: an asset
- Analytical Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with IRI/Nielsen data
