Accountant - VAT (Indirect Tax)
Our client, one of the world's leading and most dominant businesses in the industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their wider finance team of around 16 professionals. This role focuses on VAT compliance and multi-currency payment processing within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. No two days will be the same, and as a result of further business growth, your development and professional progression will in turn benefit alongside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT and other regulatory returns.
- Review and correct Purchase Ledger VAT postings.
- Create weekly multi-currency payment run files.
- Generate supplier payment reports for regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and update procedural documentation.
- Meet tight reporting deadlines while managing high data volumes.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- AAT or ATT qualified or studying towards ACCA or equivalent.
- VAT return experience; overseas VAT knowledge is advantageous.
- It would be desirable if you had previous Purchase Ledger experience and multi-currency payments, but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
