LHH is pleased to collaborate with a prestigious firm in Cheltenham that is in search of a dedicated and experienced Accounts Senior to become part of their energetic and growing team. This position provides a great opportunity for an Accounts Semi Senior or Accounts Senior looking to elevate their career within a supportive top 30 firm.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements, and providing insightful financial advice. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with entrepreneurial clients managing growing businesses, providing guidance and support.
- Complete annual accounts and tax computations for incorporated and unincorporated businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns, clarifying clients' tax obligations.
- Advise clients on capital tax issues, such as inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
- Maintain and update accounting records to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with regulations.
- Draft correspondence for clients and liaise with HMRC to resolve queries or issues.
- Offer a range of administrative and business setup services to help clients establish and grow their operations.
- Supervise and support less experienced team members, including training students, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in Sage, Xero and QBO.
- Experienced in preparing accounts for partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
