Job Opportunity: Collateral Management Associate
Purpose of the Role
Step into a role where operational excellence, precision, and cross-team collaboration are at the core. This Associate position supports daily business-as-usual activity, drives continuous improvement in procedures, and delivers high-value service across internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities
Administer daily collateral margin requirements and EMIR risk mitigation processes
Execute margin calls, monthly interest calculations, and manage portfolio valuations
Oversee collateral receipt and delivery, resolving any discrepancies
Run portfolio reconciliations and escalate unresolved disputes
Coordinate with internal treasury teams to secure funding for margin calls
Monitor physical payment execution and reconcile breaks
Escalate disputes exceeding $5 million
Support system readiness and UAT testing for new releases
Respond to inbound queries and manage team inboxes
Collaborate across teams and contribute to overall operational effectiveness
Role Impact and Scale
No direct reports
Regular interaction with line management
Cross-functional coordination with teams in Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Front Office
Handling agreements and reconciliations across multiple business entities
Accountabilities
Deliver accurate, timely margin calls and reconciliations
Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain and update procedural documentation
Suggest and implement process enhancements
Participate in UAT and escalate findings
Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory obligations
Apply compliance training to day-to-day responsibilities
Required Skills and Experience
Prior experience in a similar operational role
Effective communicator across business levels
Solid Excel skills and financial data handling capability
Proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach
Knowledge of ISDA, CSA, and GMRA documentation
Familiarity with EMIR regulatory requirements
Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Minimum educational qualification: A Level
