Position: Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial Tech & Procurement) Location: Remote working with some ad hoc office based work (open to discussion on number of days) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary/Package: Competitive Base Salary (DOE), Car Allowance, Bonus, and Benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our clients In-House legal team on a predominantly remote working basis, with some travel to the offices required on an ad hoc basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Solicitor to play a key role in managing and advising on IT/technology and procurement contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and support with commercial agreements to include IT, Tech & AI contracts, public sector contracts, including procurement and data protection.
- Contract Management: Lead the review, negotiation, and drafting of various commercial agreements.
- Change Management: Running and implementing change management strategies to support response in other areas of the company, driven by change in legislation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and effectively managing their expectations.
- Workload Management: Prioritise and manage a diverse workload, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Candidate Specification:
- Qualification: UK-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 year's post-qualification experience, ideally with an In-House background.
- Sector Experience: Ideally from the managed services/outsourcing, IT, technology, or telecommunications sector background.
- Experience: Either experience within public sector contracts including procurement or have handled bids & tenders in the private sector would be an advantage plus additional exposure within IT & technology contracts and data protection.
- Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, a proactive approach to workload management, and the ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team.
