Interim Management Accountant - 6-Month Contract
Location: Haywards Heath Salary: £50K pa Contract: Interim 6-month FTC - Immediate start required. (Office based)
We are partnering with a highly respected local business to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for an initial 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting robust internal controls, and enabling effective decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with annual budget preparation in collaboration with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Produce regular income, expenditure, and cashflow forecasts.
- Support and embed the month-end close process.
- Reconcile cashflow actuals against forecasts.
- Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with legacy pension scheme administration.
- Provide financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders across the business.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
- Proven background in an SME environment.
- Qualified, finalist level, or QBE considered.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent IT skills, especially Excel.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
