Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week office based) Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + Excellent Bonus & Benefits


We are excited to partner with our client for a new Legal Counsel opportunity based in Hertfordshire (Hybrid 2 - 3 days a week office based and easily commutable from surrounding counties such as Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and London) to join an established legal team. The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified Solicitor around 1 to 3 years PQE, with a background In-House and/or In-House (including secondment) and experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.


The Opportunity:


As a Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders across the business, including senior management, offering commercially driven legal advice to support operations in the UK and internationally.


You will be part of a high-performing legal division, integrated within a wider international legal network, offering excellent exposure and opportunities for career development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contractual agreements including procurement, sales and marketing, research and development, and confidentiality matters.
  • Provide commercially oriented legal advice to various departments, ensuring operations function within acceptable legal risk parameters.
  • Some support within disputes, employment law, intellectual property, regulatory and competition law.
  • Support corporate governance, including company secretarial duties such as drafting board minutes and resolutions.
  • Manage and engage external legal support where required.

What We're Looking For:


  • UK Qualified Solicitor with aorund 1 to 3 years PQE.
  • Candidates with a private practice and/or In-House background will be considered (including secondments).
  • Experience handling a broad range of commercial agreements with excellent drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills.
  • A commercially astute approach with the ability to provide risk-based legal solutions.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to develop legal expertise in various areas.
