Responsibilities:


  • Handling a diverse range of commercial landlord and tenant matters, including 1954 Act, alienation, break rights, and dilapidations.
  • Providing strategic advice on development-related disputes, particularly rights to light, and offering support to developers and insurers.
  • Managing disputes concerning property contracts, property-related insolvency, and other real property-related issues such as rights of way and restrictive covenants.
  • Potential involvement in residential-related landlord and tenant matters.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and market intermediaries, focusing on the North-West market.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, both on an individual and team level.
  • Actively participating in firm-wide and departmental meetings, training sessions, and social events.
  • Mentoring and delegating work to junior fee-earners, fostering their professional development.
  • Cultivating effective and enduring client relationships.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience gained from a reputable firm.
  • A drive and enthusiasm for property litigation.
  • Excellent technical skills and a strong client focus.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for complex legal issues.
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
