Are you a driven and ambitious Commercial Litigation Solicitor looking to take your career to the next level? Our client, a well-regarded full-service law firm, is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join their thriving Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Romsey. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the firm's strategic growth within the commercial and corporate sector.
About the Role:
As a vital member of the team, you will be tasked with delivering high-quality dispute resolution and litigation services to a diverse client base, ranging from sole traders and SMEs to large household names in the Hampshire region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Taking instructions from clients and understanding their needs.
- Conducting thorough investigations and analyses of factual and legal issues.
- Advising clients on dispute merits and strategy, formulating effective resolutions.
- Preparing for and attending hearings, including advocacy where appropriate.
- Communicating effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in proceedings.
- Obtaining witness evidence, instructing counsel, and preparing written submissions as needed.
- Meeting procedural deadlines set by courts, tribunals, or ombudsmen.
- Engaging in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including mediation.
- Collaborating with team members and providing support to junior lawyers.
- Actively participating in business development initiatives to help drive the firm's growth strategy.
While this role is based in Romsey, you will have the chance to work closely with colleagues across various offices, enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you will need to bring a blend of technical expertise and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A qualified Solicitor status, with a minimum of 4 years PQE in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
- Proven experience in drafting and advising on court proceedings, witness statements, and contract-related issues.
- Strong time management and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities, enabling you to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- Robust analytical and legal research skills.
- A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to support and mentor junior team members.
