About the Role
We are seeking a newly qualified (NQ) Solicitor or Assistant Solicitor to join our 'top tier' Family team in Hampshire. This esteemed team has a strong regional reputation and serves clients across Hampshire, Dorset, the Home Counties, London, and even internationally.
As one of the leading Family law firms in the area, we pride ourselves on providing first-class service and support to clients navigating family breakdowns. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to recognise client needs are essential for this role.
Our Family team, recognised in Chambers and Legal 500, is actively involved with Resolution at both regional and national levels, maintaining a strong presence in Hampshire and beyond. The work is diverse, covering finances in divorce, children matters, cohabitation disputes, and the preparation of pre and post-nuptial agreements. We often handle complex financial issues, particularly for clients in the agriculture sector, including landowners and farmers.
The role is based in our unique Hampshire office located in a converted barn in Romsey, a highly regarded environment for both clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first-class service by providing thorough legal advice with support from senior team members.
- Develop a clear understanding of client needs and strategic approaches.
- Engage in targeted business development activities to attract new clients for the Family team and the wider firm.
- utilise initiative to devise sensible and pragmatic solutions for clients.
- Maintain organised file management and recognise when to seek supervision and support.
- Collaborate with fee earners in other offices as opportunities arise.
About You

- A newly qualified (NQ) Solicitor or Assistant Solicitor with up to 4 years PQE in a Family team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with a client-centred approach to translating complex legal information into actionable advice.
- Business development acumen and a willingness to engage in marketing opportunities.
- A collaborative spirit, where personal ambition is aligned with team success.
