Our client has a rich history and a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service. The Residential Property team is fast-growing and entrepreneurial, with a presence in six offices across the UK.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join the team as a Team Leader, focusing on driving growth and expansion in the local residential property market. As a key member of the management team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing business plans, managing a team of lawyers and support staff, and contributing to the firm-wide strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a business plan to grow the practice
- Manage and lead a team of lawyers and support staff, including recruitment, performance management, and staff development
- Drive business development through existing and new connections, exploring new work types and opportunities for diversification
- Provide day-to-day management of team members, including technical matters, financial management, and compliance
- Instill firm's culture and values throughout the team
- Act as initial point of escalation for client feedback and complaints handling
- Oversee training and development of junior team members
- Work closely with high-end property finders and estate agents to develop relationships
- Act for a range of clients on diverse residential property matters
Requirements:
- 8+ years' PQE at a strong regional or City firm
- Experience in mainstream residential real estate work with minimal supervision
- Strong academic background
- A following of clients
- High attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
- Flexible approach to work with ability to meet client deadlines
- Interest in business development and ability to meet demands of high-value conveyancing
- Competent in using Microsoft Office software, time recording software, Outlook, and digital dictation
