Our client, a leading national law firm with a strong local presence, is seeking an Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join their Southern Employment team. Led by Partner Sybille Steiner, this dynamic team specialises in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law, serving a diverse range of clients, including employers and high-net-worth individuals across various sectors such as retail, technology, education, aviation, hospitality, and sport.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with challenging and complex employment law cases while benefiting from the mentorship of seasoned professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on employment tribunal claims, redundancy issues, capability and misconduct procedures, and drafting employment documentation.
- Collaborating on the employment aspects of corporate transactions for UK-based and international clients, including medium, large, and listed companies.
- Gaining hands-on experience from day one, supported by senior team members to foster your professional growth.
- Participating in a variety of team events throughout the year, where you can enhance your presentation skills and contribute to the team's business development efforts.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Experience advising Respondents on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
- A keen interest in tackling a variety of employment law issues and a desire to take on new challenges.
- Strong organisational skills to manage a busy and diverse workload.
- An interest in business development; experience in the education sector or with international clients is advantageous but not essential.
