Our client, a national law firm with a strong local presence, is seeking an experienced Employment Senior Associate to join their Southern Employment team. Led by Partner Sybille Steiner, this team provides comprehensive advice on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.


About the Role:


As a Senior Associate, you will engage in a variety of challenging cases, gaining hands-on experience from the outset. Your responsibilities will include advising clients on employment tribunal claims, redundancy, capability and misconduct procedures, and preparing employment documentation. You will work closely with a diverse clientele, ranging from small startups to PLCs, across various sectors including retail, technology, education, aviation, hospitality, and sport.


In addition to casework, you will have the opportunity to support the team's business development efforts and participate in events throughout the year, enhancing your presentation and networking skills.


About You:


We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:


  • Experience advising Respondents on a wide range of employment law matters.
  • A proactive approach to tackling varied legal challenges.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a busy workload effectively.
  • An interest in business development-experience in the education sector or with international clients is a plus but not essential.
