The Role: As our Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing legal, commercial, insurance, and compliance-related risks. Collaborating closely with our internal project teams, you will provide invaluable advice on commercial and construction-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential legal and commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Disseminate information on new forms of contract and ensure compliance with regulatory procedures.
- Draft and review legal documents to support our diverse projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Maintain a proactive approach to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- A solid understanding of construction contracts or relevant experience in other contract-based disciplines.
- Excellent drafting abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and decision-making confidence.
- A calm demeanour under pressure, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility and a pragmatic attitude to tackle various demands.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' experience, or at least 5 years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal executive.
