Position: In-House Construction Solicitor Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: London Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum
Are you a Solicitor with a strong background in Construction Law? Our client, a leader in the construction industry is seeking an In-House Solicitor to join their growing legal team in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Review & Negotiation: Assess tenders, including JCT and bespoke construction contracts, collateral warranties, third-party rights, performance bonds, and parent company guarantees. Provide internal risk analysis, propose amendments, prepare client commentary/mark-ups, and assist in client negotiations.
- Contractual Flow-Down: Adapt supply chain documents from development agreements or JCT DB/bespoke construction contracts.
- Consultant and Subcontractor Agreements: Review and address comments on consultant appointments and subcontractor agreements, assisting with responses and negotiations.
- Legal Training: Deliver tailored in-house legal training to stakeholders.
- Precedent Management: Review and update legal precedents to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Project Support: Address ad hoc queries, disputes, and legal issues arising in projects.
- General Legal Advice: Offer guidance or signposting to key stakeholders on various legal matters.
Key Requirements:
- UK-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE
* Applicants with both an In-House or Private Practice background will be considered
* Solid experience in construction law, including advising on major projects and development work.
Benefits:* Competitive salary of up to £80,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus bonus.
