Payroll Analyst – Houston, TX
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + Discretionary Bonus
Location: Houston, TX

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance from start to finish for a large, multi-state workforce (including California).
Manage and track unclaimed wages, garnishments, and employee overpayments, following up to ensure proper resolution and tax treatment.
Communicate with employees to resolve outstanding payroll issues, update personal information, and reissue payments as needed.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable and other departments on a variety of ongoing projects, often juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Maintain and improve payroll procedures, leveraging advanced Excel skills and exploring new technologies for process optimization.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to payroll inquiries and supporting colleagues across the organization.
Assist with special projects, reporting, and serve as a backup for manual payroll processing as required.
Uphold strict confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll data.
Ideal Candidate Profile
At least 5 years of hands-on, end-to-end payroll processing experience, preferably in high-volume environments (10,000+ employees).
Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a setting where priorities shift frequently.
Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Vantage or Dayforce is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, with the maturity to handle sensitive situations and collaborate effectively across departments.
Experience working in an office environment for at least 2 years.
