Payroll Specialist

Sacramento, CA (Onsite)

We are looking for a payroll professional for a wonderful new job opportunity in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees.

  • Collect and verify timekeeping data from multiple sources.

  • Calculate prevailing wages and prepare certified payroll reports (WH-347).

  • Manage union deductions, fringe benefits, and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

  • Prepare payroll tax filings and maintain accurate records for audits.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions.

  • Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in construction.

  • Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting.

  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as Vista Viewpoint or similar.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
