We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join one of our clients in Alpharetta, GA. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in high-volume accounts payable operations, excellent time management, and a customer service mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 30–40 vendors monthly, ensuring timely resolution of payment issues and escalations.

  • Process approximately 150 invoices per week via Oracle Fusion using EDI, IDR, and vendor portal submissions (no manual keying).

  • Resolve around 500 invoice discrepancies and exceptions monthly.

  • Perform complex vendor statement reconciliations for all vendors each month.

  • Handle incoming vendor payment inquiries via phone (1–2 calls/day).

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all transactions.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience, with a focus on high-volume vendor reconciliations.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, number formatting, and intermediate-level formulas.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

  • Calm and effective handling of vendor escalations and payment holds.

  • Customer service-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
