We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize one of our client’s reverse logistics operations in Midtown Atlanta, GA. This role is essential in ensuring the timely return of reusable assets to our service centers while supporting retail partners with transportation coordination, inventory forecasting, and customer service. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners to keep our supply chain running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Reverse Logistics Management:
Oversee the return flow of reusable assets from retail salvage operations to designated service centers. Monitor inventory levels to ensure each location is adequately stocked to meet production targets, minimizing downtime and changeovers.
Customer & Partner Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for collection sites, including closed-loop systems, food banks, and asset recovery locations. Provide timely support to reduce trailer dwell times and avoid detention fees.
Transportation Coordination:
Manage daily transportation activities, including:
Selecting appropriate carriers, routes, and shipping modes
Ensuring accurate shipping documentation
Tracking and tracing shipments using TMS and Control Tower systems
Collaborating with salvage teams to optimize trailer usage and secure loads
Partnering with third-party logistics providers to meet lead times and validate freight charges
Operational Support:
Work with service center teams to confirm accurate and timely receipt of shipments in ERP systems. Resolve documentation discrepancies with logistics partners as needed.
Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools like Access, QlikView, or Power BI
Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Customer service experience via phone and email
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits or new implementation support
Pay Details: $20.00 to $21.00 per hour
