LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to join one of our client’s dynamic teams in Midtown Atlanta. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy across all accounting processes. The Staff Accountant will maintain precise financial records, prepare and analyze reports, and uphold compliance with GAAP and company policies. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and current financial records for the company and its subsidiaries.
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide actionable insights into organizational performance.
Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and vendor relations.
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to address accounting inquiries and ensure financial accuracy.
Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Contribute to process improvements and assist with additional accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–3 years of accounting experience preferred (entry-level candidates with strong fundamentals will be considered).
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Cloud) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Solid understanding of accrual accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting principles.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
