Job Title: Sage 300 CRE Consultant (Contract)
Location: Bartow, FL (Hybrid: Onsite & Remote)
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Hourly Rate: $30 + DOE
About the Opportunity:
A rapidly growing construction company in Bartow, FL is seeking an experienced Sage 300 CRE Consultant to help implement and optimize their billing processes. The organization has doubled in size over the past year and needs a hands-on expert to guide their team through a major transition from manual Excel-based invoicing to a fully integrated Sage 300 CRE environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and optimization of Sage 300 CRE billing modules, ensuring seamless integration with AP, payroll, and job cost data.
- Analyze current workflows and recommend best practices for efficient billing and reporting.
- Enter rates, set up customers, and assist with accurate estimate entry.
- Provide hands-on training and support to accounting and billing staff.
- Collaborate with implementation specialists and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a train-the-trainer resource, empowering the team for long-term success.
- Maintain clear communication and ensure all major changes are coordinated with the bookkeeper and leadership.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience with Sage 300 CRE, especially in construction billing and accounting.
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and job cost modules.
- Critical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and see the big picture.
- Detail-oriented, team player, and excellent communicator.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable with a hybrid schedule: onsite for initial onboarding (approx. 1 week), then primarily remote with occasional travel as needed (1-2 times/month).
Contract Details:
- Initial 6-month contract, with flexibility based on project needs.
- Not intended as a permanent role, but potential for extension if mutually agreed.
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
