LHH is partnering with a company in the real estate industry that is looking for a temporary Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. This position is responsible for financial statement preparation, journal entries, and reconciliations. You will work on a supportive team that will provide some training, but they are looking for someone who is comfortable in a high-volume environment that has high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Record and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies
  • Collaborate with auditors during financial and compliance audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Handle high-volume transactions with a keen attention to detail
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and a strong understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing processes
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams


Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
