Staff Accountant

The hourly compensation for this job will range between $33.00-$38.00 per hour.

Our client, a dynamic and innovative entertainment company located in the heart of Beverly Hills, is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position will be responsible for assisting with the general ledger, handling basic fixed asset responsibilities, and supporting with accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Prepare and post journal entries.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Track and record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions.

• Maintain the fixed asset ledger and ensure proper depreciation.

• Conduct periodic physical inventories of fixed assets.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.

• Provide support for special projects as needed.

• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
