HR Assistant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Assistant with 2 years of experience working in a similar role. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, located in Bronx, NY.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with program leaders to understand operational needs, assess HR requirements, and provide solutions that support program objectives and staff development.
  • Assist in administering performance evaluation programs for assigned employee classifications; advise leaders on corrective actions to address performance or behavioral gaps.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding (e.g., orientations) and offboarding processes (e.g., exit interviews, separations).
  • Handle employee relations matters by investigating and documenting complaints, recommending corrective actions, and managing accommodation requests.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and webinars to stay current on employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Collaborate in evaluating departmental reports, decisions, and outcomes against established goals; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and generate reports from the database as needed.
  • Process background checks in compliance with regulatory and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with TASC to administer and track Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, Disability, and Paid Family Leave.
Experience:
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience
