HR Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an HR Specialist with 3 years of experience working in a similar position focusing on Employee Relations and Leave of Absences. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, located in Bronx, New York.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave of absence requests, including FMLA, disability, parental leave, and personal leave.
  • Coordinates the end-to-end leave process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Communicate with employees, managers, and third-party administrators to facilitate timely and accurate leave documentation and approvals.
  • Maintains confidential employee records and tracks leave status, return-to-work dates, and any required accommodations.
  • Supports employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, documenting issues, and escalating matters as needed to HR leadership.
  • Assists in conducting investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, or workplace conflicts.
  • Provides guidance to managers on handling sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Prepares reports and analytics on leave trends, employee relations cases, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborates with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate compensation and benefits continuation during leaves.
  • Participates in policy reviews and updates related to leave and employee relations practices
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of Employee Relations and Leave of Absence experience
