The Collections Specialist is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day collections activities for an assigned portfolio of accounts. This role ensures timely payments, accurate account reconciliation, and effective communication with internal departments to resolve issues and reduce financial risk. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and committed to meeting collection targets while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily collections process for all accounts within the assigned portfolio.

  • Review accounts receivable aging and ensure collection targets are consistently met.

  • Conduct daily account reviews, identify troubled or at‑risk accounts, and escalate concerns to the Manager promptly.

  • Lead periodic Accounts Receivable review meetings with Service Centers.

  • Perform account reconciliations by reviewing, researching, and addressing customer billing discrepancies.

  • Submit required billing adjustments to the Billing department for correction.

  • Report misapplied payments to the Cash Application department and provide supporting documentation.

  • Research unapplied or on‑account payments and assist Cash Application with necessary reconciliations.

  • Identify duplicate or overpayments, notify the Cash Application team, ensure customer communication, and track timely refund processing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial role.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.



Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
