LHH is working with a manufacturing company close to the Carrollton area that is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the strategic decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, understanding of inventory accounting, and financial analysis to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
This position pays 130-140K+10% Bonus and offers Great Benefits. They also offers flextime.
Job Duties:
Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and management reports
Financial statement review and data analysis to identify trends and provide insights to leadership
Creation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure ownership and accountability within the department
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
Coordination of audits (internal audits with parent company and external audits)
Performing ad hoc internal audits to gain comfort over financial records
Assist AR, AP and Payroll with accounting related questions
Provide mentorship to the accounting and finance team members
Sales and Use Tax Filings where applicable
Assist in annual financial planning and monthly financial forecasting as needed
Business Partner to other departments, including strategic planning and budget/expenditure monitoring
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or parts passed is required. Will also consider a CMA.
Public Accounting is a plus but not required.
6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and inventory management.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
