LHH is working with a manufacturing company close to the Carrollton area that is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the strategic decision-making process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, understanding of inventory accounting, and financial analysis to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.

This position pays 130-140K+10% Bonus and offers Great Benefits. They also offers flextime.

Job Duties:

  • Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Financial statement review and data analysis to identify trends and provide insights to leadership

  • Creation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure ownership and accountability within the department

  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes

  • Coordination of audits (internal audits with parent company and external audits)

  • Performing ad hoc internal audits to gain comfort over financial records

  • Assist AR, AP and Payroll with accounting related questions

  • Provide mentorship to the accounting and finance team members

  • Sales and Use Tax Filings where applicable

  • Assist in annual financial planning and monthly financial forecasting as needed

  • Business Partner to other departments, including strategic planning and budget/expenditure monitoring

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA or parts passed is required. Will also consider a CMA.

  • Public Accounting is a plus but not required.

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and inventory management.

  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
