A prominent regional law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator to support full-cycle attorney and professional staff recruiting. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, highly organized recruiting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. The coordinator will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources and hiring teams across multiple offices to deliver a seamless and professional candidate experience. This is a fully onsite position in Cerritos, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full‑cycle recruiting for attorneys and professional staff, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and onboarding coordination.

  • Partner with HR leadership to assess staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies aligned with firm growth.

  • Post job openings and maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Coordinate interviews and maintain ongoing communication with candidates and hiring teams.

  • Prepare offer letters, employment documentation, and assist with onboarding logistics.

  • Conduct reference checks, background checks, and conflicts checks in compliance with California and federal laws.

  • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies.

  • Maintain accurate recruiting metrics and reporting (time‑to‑fill, hiring activity, etc.).

  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with California employment laws, including FEHA and the California Fair Chance Act.

  • Support department needs with additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of recruiting experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.

  • Experience with ATS platforms and HR technology tools.

  • Knowledge of attorney and staff hiring practices and California employment law.

  • Strong communication, time‑management, and multitasking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The compensation range for this position is $80,000-$95,000. Additional benefits include health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care, 401(k) match, profit sharing plan, and 16 vacation/sick days to start.
