A prominent regional law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator to support full-cycle attorney and professional staff recruiting. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented, highly organized recruiting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment. The coordinator will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources and hiring teams across multiple offices to deliver a seamless and professional candidate experience. This is a fully onsite position in Cerritos, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full‑cycle recruiting for attorneys and professional staff, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and onboarding coordination.
Partner with HR leadership to assess staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies aligned with firm growth.
Post job openings and maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Coordinate interviews and maintain ongoing communication with candidates and hiring teams.
Prepare offer letters, employment documentation, and assist with onboarding logistics.
Conduct reference checks, background checks, and conflicts checks in compliance with California and federal laws.
Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies.
Maintain accurate recruiting metrics and reporting (time‑to‑fill, hiring activity, etc.).
Ensure recruiting practices comply with California employment laws, including FEHA and the California Fair Chance Act.
Support department needs with additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of recruiting experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.
Experience with ATS platforms and HR technology tools.
Knowledge of attorney and staff hiring practices and California employment law.
Strong communication, time‑management, and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
The compensation range for this position is $80,000-$95,000. Additional benefits include health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care, 401(k) match, profit sharing plan, and 16 vacation/sick days to start.
