LHH is assisting a construction-industry client with their need for an Interim Controller to join a small accounting team on a contract basis. This is a fully onsite position. Construction experience required. There is an opportunity to be considered for a permanent role for the right person!

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of a small accounting team

  • Process billing for construction projects and work with project managers to ensure timely collection of payments.

  • Approve accounts payable invoices and monitor payment schedules.

  • Collaborate with project managers to review job costs, budgets, and financial reporting.

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries for accurate financial statements.

  • Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

  • Provide backup support for accounts payable and payroll processing.

  • Assist with annual audits and provide documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, minimum of Associates required.

  • Experience in construction industry required.

  • Leadership experience is required.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Pay Details: $48.00 to $60.00 per hour
