A premier NC-based litigation boutique is expanding their presence in the Charlotte market. LHH is working on a confidential search for an experienced Commercial Litigation Partner or Counsel to help build and lead this office, mentor talented associates, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth and excellence.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned litigator with an entrepreneurial mindset to shape the future of a high-performing team in a collaborative, cross-office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the Charlotte office, high-performing Associates already based in the area

  • Manage and develop a sophisticated commercial litigation practice, with emphasis on employment litigation, high-end CRE, and bankruptcy matters

  • Collaborate across offices to staff cases based on expertise and availability

  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and culture, including process enhancements and best practices

  • Engage in client development and maintain a robust book of business

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience

  • Proven track record of successful business development bringing with them enough work to keep busy (ideal BOB of $500k+) and be comfortable billing at rates of $400–$500/hour or higher

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build a practice with autonomy and support

  • Must be licensed to practice in North Carolina

While the role offers hybrid flexibility, regular in-office presence is essential to support mentoring and team development. Our client was founded by attorneys from larger firms seeking autonomy and lean operations, and it continues to foster a culture of entrepreneurial practice-building with backed by support and infrastructure. The firm operates as a unified entity and values collaboration, flexibility, and shared ownership.
