We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a short-term assignment to support high-volume invoice processing and payment operations. This role will ensure accuracy and compliance in financial transactions while collaborating with internal teams and vendors. Ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can quickly adapt to new processes.

Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract)
Job Type: Contract (W-2)
Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Work Location: Cherry Hill, NJ Onsite (in person)
Pay Rate: $28–$32 per hour (DOE)


Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify invoice coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and audit support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines independently.
