Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the invoicing and collections process to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by tracking outstanding balances, resolving discrepancies, and communicating with clients. This position is a 3-6 month temp assignment with a chance of getting hired on permanently at the end. Pay will range between $19 and $24/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate and send invoices to clients based on contractual terms and service delivery
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up on overdue payments
  • Maintain accurate records of all receivables, payments, and account adjustments
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy and resolve issues
  • Prepare aging reports and provide regular updates to management on collection status
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and payment terms
  • Escalate collection issues to management or legal when necessary
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
