We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of our growing national consumer services organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This position is direct hire / permanent placement and will pay between $80K and $95K annually. This position is hybrid after training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support business decisions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work for accuracy and completeness
- Participate in process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-eligible
- Experience in a national or multi-location consumer services organization
- ERP system experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Prior experience supporting audits and cross-functional projects
