Medical Receptionist

$17.00 - $19.00 per Hour
- Greet and check-in patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of clinic resources.
- Answer and direct phone calls, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls to appropriate staff.
- Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and address any scheduling conflicts.
- Provide information to patients about clinic policies, procedures, and services.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
