Human Resources Generalist
Location: Gardena, CA
Company Overview: LHH is seeking a dedicated and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish. This role requires working closely with the Office Manager and handling various HR functions with professionalism and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Oversight: Review biweekly payroll data, including new hires and terminations. Work with management on time and attendance issues for payroll approval.
Recruitment: Execute the full recruitment process, including job postings, phone and on-site interviews, reference checks, and background checks.
Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process, ensuring all new hire paperwork and reporting are up-to-date.
Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review and recommend best practices for policies and practices.
Employee Relations: Attend and participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Handle employee relations, including progressive discipline and investigations.
Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life, disability insurance, and 401k.
Workers Compensation: Maintain a safe environment and understand workers compensation and OSHA safety requirements.
HR Administration: Maintain and track FMLA records and other leave of absence processes. Keep up with wage and hour law changes and payroll taxes and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience.
Language: Spanish bilingual REQUIRED.
Knowledge: Current understanding of Federal & CA Employment Law and Compliance.
Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of payroll and workers compensation.
Attributes: Organized, approachable, detailed, and able to interact with all levels of colleagues. Must dress professionally and be nice but firm.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
