Job Title: Subrogation Claims Specialist – Health & Welfare Plans

Location: Glendale, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Subrogation Claims Specialist to support a high volume of subrogation matters related to health and welfare plan clients. The majority of cases involve lien and reimbursement rights in workers’ compensation proceedings. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a background in claims handling or legal support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage subrogation matters, including litigation timelines and document workflows

  • Prepare document summaries to assist attorneys in lien negotiations

  • Investigate potential defenses and analyze settlement options

  • Draft analyses for Full and Fair reviews and appeals

  • Assist in drafting and revising Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), plan documents, and trust agreements

  • Review and draft benefit communications for ERISA compliance

  • Evaluate Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs)

  • Support vendor compliance through comparative analysis reviews

  • Maintain case documentation in a document management system (e.g., iManage)

  • Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel


Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • Professional communication skills with clients and legal teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, and document management systems

  • Solid understanding of subrogation or claims handling practices

  • College degree or minimum of 3 years relevant work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with insurance subrogation processes

  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation proceedings

  • CSRP (Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional) designation




Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
