Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Employment Type: Temporary (with potential to transition to permanent)

Hourly Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 (dependent upon level of experience)

About the Role:

LHH is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s team in Hackensack, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a role that could evolve into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • CPA certification is a plus.
