LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a company in Islandia to fill an Accounting Administrator position, managing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes using an ERP system. Position requires handling construction project billing, sales/use tax allocations, and maintaining client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving skills. This is a direct hire position, onsite Monday through Friday and will pay $65-$68K with some flexibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
AP Invoice Receipt & Item Entry
• Verify all AP Invoices against purchase orders in and ensure accurate entry
• Reconcile all vendor AP statements
• Coordinate with Controller and Director of Financial Operations to generate biweekly check runs
• Send vendor lien waivers to for all PO payments over 25k
• Receive all corporate AP credit card statements each month and ensure correct payment and coding of expenses
Sales/Use Tax
• Ensure sales/use tax is properly allocated on both AR and AP invoices
• File monthly sales/use tax reporting
• Assist in any sales/use tax audit as necessary
Invoicing – Service Division
• Process and manage billing for the Service Division. Inclusive of providing additional backup required based on client contract/po, inclusive of lien waivers on other related billing documents required.
• Perform Collections on outstanding invoices and meeting with Service Division Manager on Open AR / Aging
• Maintain Client Terms on an ongoing basis and forge collections efforts in accordance with the established client account terms.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Construction accounting required
• Advanced knowledge Microsoft Excel required
• Prior experience with ERP strongly recommended
• Strong written and verbal communication and follow up skills a must
