Electrical Engineer – Technology Manufacturing

Location: Hauppauge, NY
Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: On-site, industrial setting

Overview:

A growing technology manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This role involves hands-on work with high-voltage systems and offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced industrial components used in precision applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, modify, and evaluate electronic circuitry and components for high-voltage industrial systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical components and integrated systems.
  • Conduct experimental tests and analyze performance data.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel to ensure prototype models meet design specifications.
  • Review engineering drawings and designs for compliance with internal standards and national codes.
  • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Work closely with mechanical, software, and electrical engineers to develop and refine system documentation.
  • Support the creation of technical manuals and customer-facing documentation.
  • Maintain engineering reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to resolve customer issues and ensure high service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the engineering team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Internship or professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuitry and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Prior hands-on experience with soldering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as CE or UL.
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Exposure to high-voltage or industrial components.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and safety awareness.
  • Effective communication across various platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Capable of working under deadlines and managing multiple priorities.



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
