Electrical Engineer – Technology Manufacturing
Location: Hauppauge, NY
Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: On-site, industrial setting
Overview:
A growing technology manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This role involves hands-on work with high-voltage systems and offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced industrial components used in precision applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, and evaluate electronic circuitry and components for high-voltage industrial systems.
- Test, troubleshoot, and debug electrical components and integrated systems.
- Conduct experimental tests and analyze performance data.
- Collaborate with technical personnel to ensure prototype models meet design specifications.
- Review engineering drawings and designs for compliance with internal standards and national codes.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with mechanical, software, and electrical engineers to develop and refine system documentation.
- Support the creation of technical manuals and customer-facing documentation.
- Maintain engineering reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to resolve customer issues and ensure high service standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Internship or professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuitry and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Prior hands-on experience with soldering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as CE or UL.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
- Exposure to high-voltage or industrial components.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
- Visual acuity for detailed work and safety awareness.
- Effective communication across various platforms.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Capable of working under deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
