LHH is seeking a Data Engineer to join our client's team in a full-time, direct hire role.
The Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. In this role, you will work closely with analytics, BI, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms that turn raw data into actionable insights.
This position bridges business requirements and technical execution by translating data needs into scalable, secure, and high-quality analytics assets.
The role combines hands-on development with cross-functional collaboration to ensure analytics solutions are reliable, governed, and aligned with business priorities.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: $110k to $135k
Paid Time Off starting at 2 weeks, Sick Leave from day one and Paid Holidays

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
Required: Minimum 5+ years of work experience with SQL Databases and Power BI
Required: Strong experience as a Data Engineer in Azure-based environments.
Required: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong background in Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI with readiness to specialize in Fabric).
Required: Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps.
Required: Experience with version control and CI/CD practices.
Required: Experience developing analytics using Power BI or comparable visualization tools
Required: Extensive experience with ETL/ELT pipelines including any combination of modern tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Function Apps, Logic Apps, etc.
Required: Hands-on experience preparing process flows, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
Very Nice to Have: Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer) a preferred.
Nice to Have: Hands-on scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (including Power BI, OneLake, semantic models, and data pipelines).
Build and maintain data models including relational, dimensional, star, and snowflake schemas.
Ingest, transform, and orchestrate data from multiple sources (SQL, APIs, SaaS applications, streaming sources).
Optimize data models and queries for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Create dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations for operational and executive audiences.
Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to support Power BI semantic models and reporting.
Administer and support enterprise Fabric environments, including workspace design, security, and lifecycle management.
Establish and enforce analytics standards and best practices within the Fabric ecosystem.
Conduct regular data profiling and quality assessments.
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, recommend, and refine analytics requirements.
Translate business questions into actionable data solutions.
Prepare process flows, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support metadata management, lineage, data security, and governance controls.
Automate deployments and data workflows using CI/CD pipelines.
Document data architecture, pipelines, and operational processes.
Contribute to project planning, scope definition, and milestone tracking.
Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to technical and business stakeholders.
Respond to analytics-related user issues in alignment with service expectations.
Stay current with Microsoft Fabric updates and recommend improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
