Inside Sales Coordinator
Location: 100% Onsite – Houston, TX 77029
Industry: Heavy‑Lift Industrial Storage / Warehousing
Employment Type: Direct Hire/ Temp‑to‑Hire
Compensation: $50,000 – $65,000 depending on experience
This role is ideal for a customer‑focused inside sales professional who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships, and being the “go‑to” person in the office for quotes and client support.
About the Company
Our client is an established industrial warehouse operator with over one million square feet of warehouse space across multiple locations in the Houston area. They specialize in heavy‑lift services, operate cranes capable of lifting over 100 tons, offer climate‑controlled storage, and are one of the largest Foreign Trade Zone operators in Texas. The company has a strong growth trajectory after a recent private equity acquisition and is expanding its sales team.
Role Overview
As the Inside Sales Coordinator, you will support the sales function by:
Preparing accurate quotes using Excel‑based pricing tools
Serving as a key point of contact for customers
Helping to “hold down the office” when outside sales is in the field
Supporting KPIs and reporting for sales leadership
This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where strong communication, attention to detail, and Excel skills are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Generate timely and accurate sales quotes using Excel templates and pricing models
Communicate with customers by phone and email to answer questions and provide product/service information
Maintain and update customer records, contact lists, and quote activity
Build and sustain strong customer relationships with a focus on service and responsiveness
Support the outside sales team by managing the office when team members are offsite for tours, meetings, and client visits
Develop and present KPI data on quote activity and status for management
Learn the company’s industrial warehousing and freight‑forwarding services, pricing structure, and market positioning
Assist in refining pricing strategies to help increase volume and profitability
Build customer‑specific pricing models to calculate square footage requirements, revenue, and profitability
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
3+ years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or sales support, ideally in industrial warehouse, logistics, or related environments
Strong comfort with Excel – using formulas, working with templates, and confidently navigating spreadsheets
Prior experience supporting a small or mid‑sized business is a plus
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills (phone and written)
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple quotes and customer requests at once
Self‑motivated and proactive – someone who takes initiative and “owns” the inside sales function
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment
Team player who collaborates well with sales, operations, and administrative teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
