LHH is partnering with an Environmental Waste company in Houston, TX to find a proactive, highly skilled Accountant to join their growing team. This company offers a HYBRID work schedule and up to a 10% annual bonus!

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of three years' experience in an Accountant role with heavy emphasis on general ledger.

Hourly pay for the Staff Accountant ranges between $35 and $40 per hour depending on experience and GL knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Conduct bank reconciliations

• Manage purchase orders and receipts of goods

• Handle some accounts payable tasks

• Prepare balance sheet entries and journal entries

• Reviewing profit and loss statements and chart of accounts

• Collaborate with auditors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• 3-5 years of experience in accountant role

• Transportation or rental experience is a plus

• Intermediate Excel
