Duties:

  • The Accounts Payable Specialist provides accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
    Primary Responsibilities-

  • Three-way matching: invoice, receiver, and purchase order

  • Accounts Payable data entry – Volume approximately 200 invoices per day

  • Review and code all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment

  • Maintain vendor files and W9 compliance

  • Prioritize invoices for payment according to cash discount potential and payment terms

  • Process check runs and file checks and invoice hardcopies

  • Audit credit card bills and include receipts for payment processing

  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies

  • Analyze accounts in preparation for month-end closing

  • Reconciliation of bank statements

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives
    Skill Requirements-

  • Strong work ethic and dependability

  • Must possess professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with a team

  • Knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger processes, financial chart of accounts, debits/credits, and corporate procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to handle distractions with an efficient return to task

  • Ability to comply with procedures, rules, and policies

  • Solid Excel skills

  • Ability to communicate financial information in sound business language for all levels of the company
    Education Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Accounting or Finance
