LHH is actively seeking an HR Operations Specialist for one of our top clients, to serve as a trusted partner and first point of contact for employees seeking support with HR policies, programs, and processes. In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy of employee data, collaborate closely with teams such as Payroll and IT, and help shape an enhanced, employee-centered experience as our client evolves their HR service model. Our ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments, maintains exceptional attention to detail, handles sensitive information with care, and excels at building strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

This will be a long term contract opportunity with our client and will be hybrid to their Indianapolis office.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, programs, and general inquiries.

  • Partner with Employee Success Business Partners (ESBPs) to deliver an outstanding employee experience for your assigned business unit.

  • Support administrative aspects of onboarding, including new hire paperwork, answering questions, and ensuring a seamless first-day experience.

  • Assist employees with issues related to benefits, compensation, immigration, and certain employee relations matters—escalating when appropriate.

  • Log, track, and manage all inquiries through the case management system, ensuring follow-through and timely resolution.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of HR processes, programs, and policies to effectively address employee needs.

  • Own employee data accuracy, including auditing all new hire and employee change information.

  • Provide feedback to peers and leadership on trends, process improvements, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Maintain and update operating procedures and digital files as needed.

  • Support system testing and ongoing enhancements.

  • Respond to employment verification requests not handled by our external provider.

  • Ensure SOX compliance and support both internal and external audits.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or at least 1 year of experience in an HR service environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for data accuracy, process improvement, and continuous learning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—clear, confident, and concise.

  • Outstanding listening skills with the ability to support employees through sensitive or challenging situations.

  • Ability to diagnose issues and drive solutions through strong communication and follow-through.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • High degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong project management abilities, including planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to build credibility with employees at all levels, from individual contributors to executives.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.

  • Curiosity and drive to continuously improve processes through technology.

  • Knowledge of employment laws and practices relevant to your supported region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with global HR systems such as Workday or ADP.

  • Background supporting multiple HR disciplines and/or international teams.

  • Knowledge of global employment laws and practices.

  • Experience using a case management tool.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other cloud-based platforms.

  • Prior experience in an HR shared services environment, ideally within an established organization.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.53 per hour
