Our Client is expanding its Field Operations organization and seeking Field Construction Coordinator Assistants to drive execution excellence across multiple utility infrastructure projects. This role is positioned at the intersection of field coordination, technical oversight, and on-the-ground quality assurance—supporting mission-critical upgrades across transmission and distribution assets.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will enable safe, compliant, and efficient construction activity by partnering closely with field crews, contractor personnel, service center teams, and technical stakeholders. You will support project mobilization, align field execution with engineering intent, and ensure industry and regulatory standards are reflected in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate job-start meetings with Division Line Operations to align scope, safety expectations, and execution plans for projects involving pole and tower inspections, groundline treatment, wood-pole restoration, steel structure repair, and aluminum bell base insulator replacement.

• Coordinate service-center kickoff meetings and ensure contractor inspectors and field supervision are fully engaged.

• Provide technical specifications and materials guidance; support ordering workflows and address technical inquiries throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor field conditions, identify hazards, and escalate issues to maintain a zero-incident environment.

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of contractor installations, including C-Truss applications and restoration activities on transmission and distribution structures.

• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to validate that field execution aligns with engineering intent.

• Draft and maintain documentation, including reports, correspondence, and field observations.

• Support budget tracking, bid administration, and construction planning activities as required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Working knowledge of utility construction practices for overhead and underground distribution lines.

• Familiarity with OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other industry codes governing electric utility operations.

• Demonstrated capability to make sound decisions in urgent or emergency situations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings.

• Understanding of utility safety protocols and best practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across service areas and attend required meetings.

• Results-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Why This Role

This is a high-visibility field operations opportunity supporting major infrastructure initiatives across New York. You will join a team with a strong service culture and access to a broad training ecosystem designed to support long-term development. Our Client offers a stable career pathway with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits suite, including medical options, life insurance from day one, and additional flexible benefits.
