Title: Payroll Coordinator (Temporary to Permanent)


Location: Lindenhurst, NY


Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Hourly Rate: $27-29


Job Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent placement. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. This role requires proficiency in payroll processing systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


1. Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner using payroll software.


2. Verify timekeeping records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


3. Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime as needed.


4. Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.


5. Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.


6. Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required.


7. Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.


8. Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll data accuracy.


9. Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements.


10. Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.


Requirements:


1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.


2. 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing.


3. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.


4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.


6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


7. Experience working in a nonprofit organization is a plus, but not required.


8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
