Job Title: Legal Biller
Location: Downtown Los Angeles (Hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000 annually
About the Firm:
Our client, a well-established law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking a Legal Biller to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and prior experience billing in a law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, and process client invoices in accordance with attorney guidelines and client billing requirements
Review and revise prebills, including narrative edits, rate adjustments, and write-ups/write-downs
Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and outside counsel guidelines
Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing issues and discrepancies
Submit invoices electronically through client billing portals (e.g., Legal Tracker, CounselLink, TyMetrix, etc.)
Monitor billing deadlines and ensure timely invoice submission
Assist with billing-related reports and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of legal billing experience within a law firm
Strong knowledge of legal billing processes, terminology, and client guidelines
Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar)
Familiarity with e-billing platforms required
High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
