LHH has partnered with a national law firm, who is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their team in either the Los Angeles office. This role requires strong civil litigation experience, particularly in tort defense and transportation-related personal injury and property damage cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage case files from inception through resolution (mediation, arbitration, trial, or settlement).

  • Draft and prepare subpoenas, discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production/admissions), and responses including privilege logs.

  • Assist attorneys with deposition preparation and expert engagement.

  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely responses.

  • Prepare legal documents including briefs, pleadings, chronologies, agreements, and trial/mediation binders.

  • Conduct factual investigations, including social media research.

  • Support trial preparation: organize trial notebooks, exhibit/witness lists, subpoenas, and manage trial presentations.

  • Attend trials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.

  • Proven experience with expert retention and medical chronologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficiency in legal software and tools: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, LexisNexis, PACER, Relativity, Sanction, TrialPad, iManage.

  • Familiarity with State and Federal Court systems.

  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.

  • Experience with trial preparation and attendance, including exhibit management.

  • Knowledge of complex litigation processes.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
