Short-Term Network Technician – (Onsite)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: $55-70/hr

Duration: Very short-term temporary assignment 2-4 estimated hours

Schedule: Must be completed this week

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Technician to provide onsite support for a brief but critical infrastructure task. The technician will be responsible for replacing a rack-mounted network switch and performing associated configuration changes. This is a quick, hands-on assignment ideal for a local professional with strong Cisco Meraki experience who is available immediately.

Responsibilities

• Replace an existing rack-mounted network switch at a client site

• Perform required switch configuration changes to ensure proper network functionality

• Validate connectivity and confirm successful deployment post-installation

• Follow standard network change procedures and best practices

• Communicate completion status and any issues to the client or project contact

Required Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking equipment

• Experience deploying, replacing, and configuring network switches

• Strong understanding of basic network concepts (VLANs, ports, connectivity, etc.)

• Ability to work independently and efficiently onsite

• Availability to complete the work within the current week

Nice to Have

• Prior experience performing short-notice or emergency network support

• Familiarity with data center or network closet environments

• Own basic networking tools (as applicable)

Logistics & Engagement Details

• Onsite work only (no remote option)

• Estimated duration: ~2 hours total

• Location will be either Los Angeles, CA or San Diego, CA (local candidates preferred)

• 15-minute Teams interview required prior to confirmation

• Immediate start upon selection
