Temporary Trial Paralegal – Personal Injury Litigation

Location: Pomona, CA (Trial); Downtown Los Angeles (Training)
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $45–$60/hr

About the Role

A boutique litigation firm is seeking a seasoned Trial Paralegal to support a high-profile personal injury case set for trial on November 18, 2025, in Pomona. This is a fast-paced, competitive environment involving collaboration with multiple vendors and a well-known opposing firm. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working long hours in a war room-style setup.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize trial materials including exhibits, witness files, and binders

  • Provide in-court support: exhibit management, note-taking, and logistics

  • Assist with document productions and discovery searches

  • Support attorneys with investigations, depositions, and trial prep

  • Log and track document collections and productions

  • Use platforms like Relativity, Logikcull, Everlaw, or Disco for eDiscovery

  • Navigate PACER, court e-filings, and local court rules

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in proofreading and documentation


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation

  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an accredited institution

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and iManage

  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills

  • Experience with second-generation discovery platforms preferred


Additional Details

  • Location: Candidate will be based in Pomona during trial; hotel conference room will serve as the war room

  • Schedule: Expect 8–12 hour days, with potential weekend work

  • Dead Week: November 24–28 – WFH or in-office; Thursday and Friday off
